Yes, through a connector, but not the same connector and not the same reach. Nothing installs directly on either platform, because neither runs server code of yours. Since October 2026 a Shopify custom app token and a Webflow site token each open a different, limited door into the agent's hands.
Until October 2026 the honest answer here was "no, not directly, use a Cloudflare Worker." That is no longer the whole answer. Nothing installs on a hosted builder, and that part has not changed: Shopify and Webflow both run their own server code, not yours, so there is no plugin layer to drop an agent into the way there is on WordPress. What changed is the door. Each platform's own API now lets a pasted token stand in for the plugin, and the agent writes through that API instead of through a file on your server.
The two doors are not the same size. Shopify's Admin API is broad for a theme; Webflow's standard-plan API is narrow by design. The rest of this article says exactly what each one reaches, because a vendor claiming "automation" without naming the limit is the thing worth being suspicious of.
A custom app you create in Shopify's own settings (Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps) issues an Admin token, pasted once into Reflexa's site settings. Through it the agent writes the theme's robots rules and Organization data, a page's title and search description, an answer-first opening, a FAQ, a replaced passage, a new page, and redirects, every one shown to you before it is applied and undone the same way it applies.
Two things stay out of reach. Shopify serves its own sitemap and lets
nobody replace it, and a Shopify domain has nowhere to serve
/llms.txt from, so the agent does not offer either switch
there. Full detail, including the exact API scopes, is on

Shopify, or do I need a developer?, updated 28 October 2026.
A site token generated in Webflow's own settings, pasted once, lets the agent rewrite a page's search title and description and publish the change, shown to you first and applied on your click. That is the whole of what Webflow's standard-plan API exposes, so that is the whole of what the agent offers there.
Robots rules and redirects sit behind Webflow's API only on Enterprise workspaces, and structured data, an opening paragraph, a FAQ or a new page cannot be written through the API at all, on any plan. For those, the agent writes the exact text and tells you where to paste it: robots rules in the SEO section of Site settings, Organization data through the custom code field. The difference is entirely about which door is open, not about what the agent does once it is through it. See what the agent does on your site for the full inventory it works from on a site it can install on directly.

Why it matters: a buyer comparing "AI agent for my site" claims across platforms should ask which row of this table each vendor actually reaches, not whether it says "yes, we support X."
None of the three currently publish an API the agent can write through, so there is still no door on any of them, the same position Shopify and Webflow were in before October 2026. The free structural checks and tools still run against the live site from outside, needing no account access, and for anything a check finds, the agent writes the exact words and tells you exactly where to paste them: robots.txt and the Custom Code panel on Wix, the partial robots.txt editor and head code injection on Squarespace, the custom head code and robots.txt override in Framer's site settings. A Cloudflare Worker is still the route to counting visits and flipping switches directly, on any of the three, if the domain's DNS is already on Cloudflare.
Bottom line: the old "no, use a Worker" answer is gone for Shopify and Webflow; what replaced it is two different-sized doors, each honestly smaller than a plugin install, and a Worker still for everything past the door.
No. Both are hosted builders that run no server code of yours, so there is no plugin layer to install into the way there is on WordPress. That has not changed; what changed is the door each platform now opens through its own API.
With a custom app's Admin token, pasted once, it writes the theme's robots rules and Organization data, a page's title and description, an answer-first opening, a FAQ, a replaced passage, a new page, and redirects. It cannot replace Shopify's own sitemap or serve /llms.txt, which has nowhere to live on a Shopify domain.
With a site token, it writes a page's title and search description and publishes the change. That is the whole of Webflow's standard-plan API; robots rules and redirects are open to the API only on Enterprise workspaces, and a passage, a FAQ or a new page cannot be written through it at all.
None of the three currently publish an API the agent can write through, so there is still no door. The agent runs its free checks against the live site and writes the exact text for you to paste into each platform's own settings or custom-code field.
Yes, if the domain's DNS already sits on Cloudflare with proxying on. A Cloudflare Worker in front of the store or site sees the whole response, so it can count AI visits and apply the four switches a connector token cannot reach.
The free check reads your store or site the way AI crawlers do and shows every finding with its evidence, no card and no install needed.
